Celebraciones y Eventos
Too young to retire, wife at work all day, daughter at school what can one do and, what may the Spanish people want, (without changing their traditions and life style too much) that is the question a lot of people ask themselves when they come to live in Spain to start a new life.
We know the Spanish people have a fantastic out door life their fiestas are the best they go all out for splendour glamour getting dressed up and pomp and ceremony and I have found out they like oldie worldly things So while talking to a friend of mine he came up with an idea for that special day that he has not been seen around these parts a wedding car service, so along with a mutual friend Louis, we set about starting up our new company Celebraciones y Eventos Louis works for his dad but wanted to do something else, he was always been asked by his friends if they could borrow his Chrysler convertible for weddings. So we put our heads together and shot off to the U.K and looked at a number of classic cars (easier to get hold of these cars in the U.K. then in Spain you want to try).
After covering over a thousand miles from North West Leicestershire to Norwich Manchester to London and the Black Country, introducing Louis on the way to his first ever Balti meal in the Midlands, as I worked in the crown courts in Birmingham I thought I would show him how British justice worked so it was off to the crown court his lucky day a murder trial (try explaing that to your parents ¨´Mom Dad I have been in court all day´´) Christmas dinner in our hotel, London sites and a expensive pee (50 pence to use the toilets on the embankment) , seeing the former prime Minster John Major in the flesh we were only 10 feet away from him and his wife (he has seen him on TV so he new of him) and the present day speaker of the house of commons coming out of Westminster abbey after a memorial service for a former conservative lord, he was also at home and in his element when he overheard a Spanish voice, got chatting to these people and we found out some of there family live in Alcoy (the world is getting smaller) an Italian wine in a restaurant ( only ever drank Spanish before) so he wanted to try something different, British beer did not go down to well, sushi in a Chinese restaurant in Birmingham after first taking him to his first ever big football match (Villa v man city, though I. Am not a supporter of either myself)
Any way, after covering all these places and cultures and seeing a lot of cars we made a decision and plummeted for a 1973 laurel green Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 1, old yes but with character. The previous owner used the car for some weddings for Norwich city football club (hence the colour green) the previous owner before this was a British army major from Colchester.
So here we have it Celebraciones y Eventos apart from the Rolls Royce we also have a White Chrysler convertible. On perhaps the biggest day of your life, your wedding day is one of the most special and important days of your life and when it comes to your wedding cars they need to be perfect. You need a service that you can rely on not only to deliver you to the church on time in style and comfort, but to also make you feel like king and queen for the day!
